Old picture of ovaries a help to doctor?

Hi Everyone,

I posted a couple of days ago about not being seen by gyn in 13 yrs and am now feeling some pain. I found the pictures (color from inside) that were taken of my ovaries 14 yrs ago, a couple months before my hysterectomy.

Should I take these to my Dr. appointment on Tuesday? The funny thing is the right and left look so different. The right looks "normal" I guess but the left is bigger and it looks like it has grey water filled bubbles under a white membrane on it.

How should they look and will these pictures be a help to my new Dr.?

Anne

You really need to have a current ultrasound of the ovaries to be of any help to the dr.

Take the old images with you.  After this length of time, it is not likely they will be very relevant, but then again, I have worked in the health care field long enough to learn "never say never."
