Hemorrahgic cyst

Hi Raven-lady,

Thank you for the quick response reference my second opinion stating that the cyst on my ovary was possibly a hemorrhagic cyst.  You had asked me if the US revealed any fluid, and the answer is no.  There was no sign of fluid in the "cul-de-sac".  What does this mean and is that a good sign?

Thanks many

Brilyn

I had a large hemorrhagic cyst removed last April.  It had adhered to my uterus.  I lost the ovary and tube as well.  I don't believe these can be cancerous, but they will do a biopsy all the same.

HI.  I have been diagnosed with a 2.5-3 INCH hemorrhagic cyst on my left ovary and am going in to have it (and possibly my ovary) removed on Wednesday, Nov.1st. Does anyone know if these can be cancerous?  I have not had any blood work done except the preop I'm going in for Monday.
