RDS nad sedation

hi i was woundering i am the mom of a baby born with RDS and he spent 9days in the NICU 2 1\2of which was on the vent with 2 doses of surfactant. he is know 4wks old and will be going for a spinal MRI on monday is there going to be a increased risk of sedation due tot he respritory problems he still weezes and he also hasa small hole in the atrium of his heart, what do i need to look for after words?

There is an increased risk for sedation when there is a respiratory problem. I am sure, however, that this is something that the doctors will know how to handle and take precautions. Your son should be fine after the sedation wears off.
