bronchoscope results

I have been on antibiotics for a year for MAC and Fortuitum. I recently had my 3rd bronchoscope and it has shown WBC 2+ and gram positive cocci and also penicillium fungus. My AFB smear was negative and we are awaiting cultures. My AFB has always been positive so now that it is negative can I expect the cultures also to be negative? My other question is about the other findings from the bronchial wash, what do they mean and should they be a concern?

Your case is obviously very complex.  Hence, it is impossible for us to offer firm advice without reviewing your history and lab studies in detail.  Have your clinician contact us if he/she deems it appropriate.  Please feel free to share this link https://www.nationaljewish.org/patient-info/progs/med/mycobac-consult.aspx to our Mycobacterial Consultation and Referral Form with your clinician.
