Nasal discomfort

by Chrissie dee, Jul 10, 2007 12:00AM
I had been diagnose about 10 years ago to have a polyp, the doctor suggested laser treatment, but i'm too scared to do it.
Nowdays my problem is both of my nose will be block if i stay in one position to long, whether sitting, standing, lay down, etc.
During the night i have to get up and sit down for a few minutes just so my nose can be clear and blow my nose (because there is a clear liquid just like a tap water dripping). If only one side of my nose blocked, than that side will produce the clear liquid slem so fast, that i have to wake up so many times during the night. In the morning the slem or mucus will be yellow.
Is this sinus problem? if it is, am i in BAD condition??
Help me to solve my problem please.

Perhaps a trial of an nhaled nasal steroid, to shrink the polyp,  would be safer than laser therapy.
