swollen vagina and a bump under the skin

About 8 weeks ago I had sex with someone I don't really know.  Since then my vagina has swollen and a bump has appeared under the skin.  There is no other bumps I do have a little extra discharge and a little itching but nothing real bad.  I am really concerned about it. There is no pain when I urinate or anything else.  Please let me know what this could be.  I am hoping it is not related to the sex and just a coincidence.  Please let me know what the possiblities could be.

I cannot make a specific diagnosis on line, but it sounds like an infection of some sort.  Given the onset a few weeks after a possibly high-risk sexual encounter, an STD sounds possible; gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, and syphilis all come to mind.  See a health care provider soon.  If you are not confident in your own health care provider's knowledge about STDs, consider visiting your local health department STD clinic, or a reproductive health clinic such as Planned Parenthood.  In addiion, if you know how to contact your partner, you should do so; find out whether he (or she) has any STD, any symptoms, etc.
