4 week follow up after encounter

Dr. HHH,

Thanks again for this unbelievable service. I want to recap my situation for you and hope my experience and your follow up is valuable information for other readers as well. 32 yrd Male and this is the ONLY encounter outside monogomous 11 yr marriage.

1)Wed. June 21st had about 6-10 minutes of unprotected oral sex with women I did not know, nor have a way to get in contact with

2)20-30 seconds of unprotected penetration - I could not get fully erect b/c of tiredness and drinking-I did not inspect for lesions on her, but had extensive touching and did not feel anything out of the ordinary, nor did she have any noticable fever blisters

3)Began having tingeling on my genitals, penis, anus, and even stomach lightly by Friday but more pronounced by Sunday June 25th (you last mentioned anxiety may be the cause but I had to try to take away any and all possibility of other deseases since I am married to protect her)

4)Went to STD clinic on Monday June 26 and got tested for Gon and Clam. Then went to primary care Dr (had a late opening) who perscribed Levaquin 500mg a day for 7 days, and Azithromycin 500MG 2 pills total, just in case. Test were neg on Wed, but I took the rest of the antibiotics anyway.

5)Primary Dr also gave Valtrex just in case my tingeling did not disappear by 1 week after the encounter. It did not, so I took Valtrex for 10 days 2 pills a day (forget the dosage, but it was what you mention many times here)

6)That didn't help much either, and I also began to feel a slight burning in my urethra (maybe from over inspection inside my penis), but I never had ANY burning while urinating. I got nervous about Trich and called my Dr who said test were really no good for that (like you say), so he perscribed Flagyl and 1 more dose of 1Gram of Azithromycin which I took both last Thursday July 13th. I seemed to feel better but still have had some mild tingeling and just wierd feelings in my penis

7)This morning while pushing pretty hard during a bowel movement I had some clear discharge from my penis. Very clear and was a little sticky. 1st discharge during the entire ordeal. (This has happened before to me about 1 to 2 times per year and I always thought it was b/c i was straining?) But penis tingeling and wierd feelings are now only every now and then

Questions:

1) I never had ANY signs of lesions nor did I ever have pain/buring during urination, but I am concerned that the Valtrex may have 100% taken care any initial symptoms I may have had for herpes?

2) If I did have Trich, how good is Flagyl (1 2G dosage), and when would it have been effective after taken on Thursday 13th, so I would not pass it on to my wife? (if I even had it)

3) I am not concerned with Gon or Clam b/c of the antibiotics (2 times), so I am really concerned with Herpes and trich here. Could you tell me your opinions based on my long discriptions above?

(Again, I hope to help many people with the amount of detail I provided here)

Thanks

Sam

This is basically a duplicate of your other thread about 10 days ago.  I said then I would have no more responses, and that applies to this thread as well.  You have no STD concerns--trichomonas, herpes or anything else.

Do not continues this thread.  See a provider if you remain concerned.  I will have no further responses.  Sorry--

I apologize if you feel I abused the system to report possible new symtoms since my last post. For the record, the original post was June 27th, about 20-21 days ago which I added the additional concerns I had. I travel 6 days per week globally and it makes it difficult to see a provider in English all the time. Your service offers a way to gain critical information for someone like me. Thanks again for all your help! It sounds as if the new information did not change your original suggestions that I do NOT need to be worried about any STDS? and I will move on.

Thanks and Please accept my apology once again.

Here's a quote from his reply to answer your last comment:
