Odd nasal discharge

Hi everyone.

I've been dealing with cold and allergy symptoms over the last couple weeks and was diagnosed with a sinus infection by the dr.  I didnt really get an answer from her on an odd symptom I'm having though...for the past two days, before I started any medication, I've been having a weird, watery, yellowish-brown fluid coming out of my right nostril.

It just trickles a bit occasionally, not evry much at all, moreso when I bend over to pick something up.  It's not mucousy, very thin/watery, and light brown.

Never had this before and I've had sinus allergies all my life.  Any ideas?

Havent hit my head or anything so I dont think it can be CSF or anything like that.

Nasal discharge that is runny and slightly brown is a symptom of sinusitis infection.  Generally an anti-biotic is in order. You can also use a saline solution nasal spray to help "wash" your sinus, which may help you breathe better.

Thanks very much for the reply.  Feeling much better about this now.  I'm unfortunately one of those people who gets overly-worried about illnesses.
