Pressure in Ear, Burning Pains in limbs, and other weird symptoms

I actually have had a similar mystery illness. Last summer, I became ill with a low-grade fever, chills, tender and painful swollen glands, lightheadedness, light sensitivity, and pressure in my head.

Within a month or so most of the symptoms went away. The lightheadedness and light sensitivity lasted a about four months. However, for the last six months, I have still been dealing with intermittent ear and eye pressure and tingling and burning pains in my arms (around my elbow), legs (around my knee), jaw, and mouth. Most of the symptoms are isolated to the left side of my face and body.

I have seen several internists, an infectious disease specialist, two ENTs, a neurologist, an allergist and immunologists, an oral surgeon with TMJ expertise, an eye doctor, and a dermatologists. I will be seeing a rheumatolgist at a major research facility in two months.

I have had test for Mono, thyroid disorders, West Nile, HIV, syphillis, a basic Lyme Test (which I understand is unreliable), TMJ, and a variety of other blood tests. I have had MRIs and CT scans of my brain, spinal cord, and sinuses. Every single test has come back negative, but the symptoms remain.

I am a male in my 30s with no prior health history.  I do not undertake any exotic traveling, camping, or high-risk activities that would expose me to weird illnesses.

If anyone has any ideas, I appreciate them.

Any update on your condition?  I have had similar symptoms over the last few months with no luck with a diagnosis either.

Did you ever take a Quinolone Antibiotic (Cipro, Avelox, Levaquin, etc)?  Your symptoms sound a lot like the symptoms that I have as well as many other people.  Check out this website.
