Anyone had a bad experience with senna tablets!!!

Had a few problems with all sorts of late but more recently lower abdomen pain and back . I was treated for a Uti thats now gone according to lab but I went back to the Dr and lucky me saw a locum who examined my abdo area. To cut a long story short she asked had I been constipated to which I said yes nothing new for me. Anyway impacted bowel she said and gave me senna 7.5 tablets two at night. Anyway I took them they did the trick but I had horrendous abdo pain for hours before I went . Took some more last night and woke up early hours in agony didnt go for 4 hr after and when I did ther were large black sections . Apologies for being so detailed. Anyone else experienced this . I won't be taking then again anyway. Thanks Chris

The black stuff probably comes from the area of impaction, so it's more likely than not an acceptable situation.  If at all possible, I say keep taking them.  It's not comfortable to clear out an impaction,b ut it's necessary.
