Very abnormal periods

Hello,
I am 20 years old and very healthy.  Except my menstrual cycle.  I am on birth control yet i have had three periods this month.  also got my period a week and a half early last month.  Last month I woke up in the middle of the night crying myself back to sleep because of the pain I was in which was mostly on my right side, but when I got a pap the pain seemed stronger on the left.  I also had to change my tampon three times in one night.  I took a pregnancy test to make sure im not having a tubal pregnancy.  I have been taking my pill at the same time every day and I never miss a pill.  A year ago I was having the same problems but worse.  I had my period for three months straight and then it was every other week for another month and a half. THis time im not having any pain and its very light. PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGESTIONS OR HAVE HEARD OF THIS BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might need to change your birth contol pill. I assume that your pap came back normal. If you are on a tri level bc (a different dose of harmones each week) you might try one that has the same dose all three weeks (ovcon, necon, etc.)stress might also be a problem. If you have alot of stress (good and bad)it can make your cycles irregular. I would call your OBGYN and make an appt.

thr first thing you need to do is make an appointment with your doctor.  that's the only person who can tell you for sure what's going on.
