Depresion or anger problems?

What is wrong with me? I'm feeling flat and exhausted. I am having major mood swings, I am yelling at my children, and I'm being very bitter and cold toward my husband. I'm not like this normally.
Nothing I do seems to matter to me, or anyone else (but that might just seem that way to me)Am I depressed? Why does every little thing drive me nuts? Why do I feel a strong erge to throw something, smash up the house, hurt someone. This isb't me!!

Just a little fol-up to see if your appt. came up w/ any type
of resolution. Get copies of any labs they do. Just wanted
to wish you well. Sometimes we just need a vacation or a dx'd
confirmation to start to breathe again. You need more ME-time.

Thankyou for your feedback. I've made an apointment to see my doctor first thing Monday morning.
I doubt this has anything to do with menopause (I'm only 27) of post natal ( my "Baby" is 2 and a half years old) I've writen down my symtoms for the doctor to look at, so he can figure out what's going on.
I've told my husband about this. He told me last night that if I kept going, he'd leave so I could calm down. That just made me wilder... I went for a long walk... not a good idea at night, but it helped a bit. I know it's not his fault. He has done nothing wrong.
Hopefully the doctor can work this out.
I thankyou all again for your help and support.

You probably feel like you're losing your marbles & if you
don't get to the Dr., you will have a worse time finding them.
You need to write down what's happening so you don't flip at
the ofc. Over-whelm doc & you'll just get miss-dx'd. You are
describing a brain imbalance of hormones & chemicals. You need
bloodwk of CBC+Chempanel for now to ck. basics/thyroid,etc.
You don't want to be put on anti-depressants or meds till labs
are back. Maybe ask to have a Cortisol test too. What you
posted reads alot like 'Manic Depressive' or Bipolar. It's do
to chemical imbalance/stress/depression/organ functions. Many
are mis-dx'd. Their are meds that can trigger this or just a
sudden over-load point. After labs are done, then only a
therapist can determine what meds to correct. There are special
meds for this. Severe quick mood swings from passive to
aggressive is a Bipolar signal. You feel like you can't breathe/
think out moment/thoughts of 'no one gets me'. The Manic part of
emotion is throwing/breaking/yelling beyond the 'just a bad day'
& then the depressive state happens when you can quickly switch
to, 'well, this has to be done'. Later you know this is not you.
They can also do an Mri to see if there is an 'upset' in a part
of a specific lobe that deals w/ emotion. Get labs first. Try
to look at 'your own' situation. The kids are being affected
along w/ the big 'Why'. You might even share this theory w/ Dr
so he'll know if referral is needed. Not all therapists are
well trained at quickly getting to source. I wish you well.

I know exactly how you feel as I've felt this way myself not too long ago. Mine seemed to stem from the birth of my baby, although it didn't really manifest itself completely until she was around 7 months old and I was steadily getting more and more aggressive in nature as well as emotionally unstable. I'd cry one minute, be happy the next, express anger and near hatred the minute after that! It was like being on a roller coaster to which there was no stop. If you've had a baby recently or within the past year, I would suggest post natal depression. If not, then perhaps depression or a hormone imbalance? Hormones can make us do crazy things! I take St John's Wort myself, but only because my GP was less than sympathetic and I felt I had to DO something. It does seem to help...I haven't had a proper mood swing in a couple of weeks now and I feel more on an even keel and I have LOADS of patience now. However, I strongly urge you to see your Dr. People don't just start acting angry and aggressive for no reason.
