Anyone know what this means?

I recieved a copy of the letter my Neurologist has sent to my GP today and I wondered if anyone might know what it means.I wondered if it had anything to do with my Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy at all cos to be honest it makes no sense to me?

It goes,

I have the results of this patients blood tests

Full blood count was normal other than somehypersegmented neutrophils and atypical lymphocytes and no acanthocytes. Her caeruloplasmin level was mildly reduced at 0.17g/l (referance 0.2-0.5).I would be grateful if you could repeat this, also checking her plasma copper.

thanks Guys Kaz x

Thanks llainey and Dangergirl.

I finally found some time to do a search as I hadn't got a clue about what most of that letter was on about and the thing I kept coming up with all the time was Wilson's disease.

I've got an apt booked with my GP on Wednesday morning to have the blood work done again.

thanks again Kaz

llainey's recommendation to you is good about using the search engine....I don't really understand that report, but the word copper stood out and reminded me of a somewhat rare disorder called Wilson's disease...

see the following:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilson's_disease

Hope you get answers soon.

As no one else has commented to you, I will try to be of some help.  My recommendation for the moment would be that you do what I just did to find out what your condition was that they were testing you for because I had never heard of it.
Take those giant words they used and put them in search engine...you will probably be able to make sence of it when you know what they mean and your computer will do that for you... get looking kiddo.. find those answers, they are there somewhere.  Good luck
