Right Thigh is Partially Numb

About a month ago, i had noticed that a part of the right thigh was completely numb. I thought it was wear off, but it has continued for a month. It's numb the whole day, but there are times where it begins to hurt if i carry too much weight on my back. I assumed it was a lack of blood flow so i began to exercise but nothing has changed. Do i need a doctor's assistance or is this curable?

Start w/ poss. your MD to see location & motion. Is it dumb
while standing + sitting? You said it can hurt while carrying heavy things on back. Are you talking abt a backpack? If that's
the case, then circulation/nerves act up w/ bad spine alignment
& can run dwn to lumbar curve that pretty much controls the
sensation nerves to thighs. Sitting alot can cause swelling at
a disk & then pinches off nerve to numb. Shift a disk while
moving can give you a pinch/hurt/quick spasm. Mormally if lasts
long time w/ daily inconvenience, you should get a lumbar mri.
You may have a slt-bulge or need adjustment to align. Sometimes
the numb area is where the nerve ends, far from source. You
may want to consult before bending that lumbar all over & make
it worse. Some Yoga has been helpful once you get OK. Many MD's
will say physical therapy. You know how you feel. Gd-luck.
