hi I too had lumps under my arms and for the first time in 10 years they have actually disappeared to my delight. I was always worried these lumps were related to cancer which I think made the pain worse. Mine normally flaired up around my period or if I shaved the area. I was talking to a friend of mine who is a beautician and she recommended exfoliating the area daily I also went to a pharmacist the next day enquiring about a cream and he also said exfoliating was the only thing he knew!!. I have been to doctors on several occasions about this problem and have only ever been prescribed antibiotics which I hate taking. Needless to say I have been exfoliating gently for the last two months and my armpits are lump free for once. Even when they were not inflamed they always still remained there like a little pea size lump thats even gone now i cant believe it. I hope you try this and get relief from your worry and pain. I would also like to recommend an alumium free deodrant to all women out there I have heard there are links between aluminium entering the body through absortion of deodrant on the skin. check ingrediants on your deodrants.  Good luck

A friend of mine had a lump under her arm and it was due to a mass of grease... Sometimes that could happen, I don't think it could be something serious but you should get check out.

Sometimes I have a similar problem caused by anti-perspirant deodorant. It could be an inflamed/clogged sweat gland. I usually have to go without deodorant for a couple of days, and I also wipe my armpits with rubbing alcohol at least 2x a day while I have to without deodorant. This helps it feel better faster, and cuts down on the possible smell.
