This is a follow-up to my initial post. I had a mammogram today and some "dense areas" were seen so an ultra sound was done and the doctor determined that I had multiple fibroadenomas in each breast. He wants another mammogram in six months to just make sure nothing significate has changed. I have a history of this dating back to age sixteen when I had the first large lump removed following two more in later years. I also have a family history of this with no history of breast cancer. My temperature has gone down probably due to the fact that I am no longer stressed out over this and mostly likely more due to the fact that I am on antibiotics for another respiratory infection from allergy complications. As far as the underarm swelling, nothing was found there except fatty tissue. And the arm pain was determined to likely be arthritis due to years of gymnastics.
So, I hope this will be helpful to others having the same symptoms. And like the poster stated before, if it is concerning you....go to the doctor : )That is the only way to know for sure. If the outcome is good, then you can sleep at night...if not so good at least you know and can be on your way to feeling well again!!
Thanks for the advice. Went back to doctor today and she again felt not lumps or lymph nodes...just swelling. I am 33 so have not had a mammogram, but do have one scheduled for Friday and other tests if necessary. Still running low grade temperature and suffering from allergy problems and put back on antibiotics today. Will update after mammogram. Thanks again!
A CBC bloodtest would easily ck lymphocytes & also wbc for
infection. If it's been there for you to feel doesn't make it
a no-concern. You know what you feel daily. Increase fluids
& go to gyn for slip to do mammagram &/or do ultrasound for
peace of mind. Faster response is ask this present ofc. to put
your mind at ease w/ an order-slip. Area may be sluggish &
their are lymphatic specialists that wk. on these things like
a massage. It's on your mind so take action. You'll sleep.
If you had a bad enough sinus infection, it can takes months to fully clear. And sometimes, you have problems for years. I have/known many that have had severe sinus infections, including myself. Yes, antibiotics clear up the infection, but something happens and reacurring problems can last for many, many months. I have never been the same. My daughter, it took 2 years, and an aunt still has begin positional vertigo from one over 8 years ago. They are not something to mess around with. And they can lead to chronic sinusitis.
