ache in back

Hi,  I keep posting because the Dr.'s apparently think everything is in my head!  I will not bother to go through it all but I am curious as to why my back behind my breast, but not breast, aches every morning and has for over a month.  I now am experiencing a sharp pain there that radiates toward my mid chest off and on during the day.  I also have a tender area under my right rib cage that can have pain or ache.  I do notice it more after eating in the evening and have vomitted a few times and it is better.  Could these be connected?  I asked my Dr. about an ultrasound as someone said it could be gallbladder (he said it would have shown up in the ultrasound I had over a year ago) but I do not know what is located where.  It is just annoying and I do not mention it to others but seem to be dragging.  However , i am always tired but that is another story.  Any info on what it may be would be appreciated?

Thank-you, I will let you know what she says.  I did have a cbc in October and was slightly anemic but have been most of my life, so not sure that would be a problem.

Sounds like gallbladder is the place to start.  Please have them check your blood to see if you are anemic.  Funny, my gastro's office doesn't have a lab in office to check for anemia, yet bleeding from ulcers, etc... is one of the causes for anemia.  Doctor's should look for the underlying cause if you are anemic.  Left sided back/rib pain can indicate problems with the pancreas.  It seems some doctors don't take you serious if you don't fit the "profile."  Be persistent.  Good luck.

Sounds like gallbladder to me and you can develop gallstones within a year.  Therefore, the imaging studies would be different.  I'd suggest seein another doctor since he doesn't seem to be taking your symptoms seriously.
