post nasal drip, sinusitis
i have post nasal drip and sinus infections to the point that i have to pour salt water in my nose once a week. i'm sure someone out there can relate. i use to get sore throats, now it just feel like it's a blockage in my throat, i can swallow and eat but you can feel that it is not going down like it should. has anyone experienced this?? i have sinus problems so badthat a lot of time i feel as though i am getting dizzy or in another zone. does anyone experience this?? i just would like to talk with someone who experiences all that i experience may be we can share remedies. i have gone to an ENT doctor, he couldn't find anything, at first they thought i had allergies that was to be the reason why i felt light headed or dizzy, then when i was tested for allergies it came back negative, i have NO allergies. i went to a neurologist to see if there was something wrong in my brain, that came back negative. then it was said that i have post nasal drip. i take rhinacort nasal spray and that does not seem to do anythng. now i have this lump in my throat, by the way i went to a gasteroligist and had a bareum sallow test and they found nothing there which leads me to believe that it is my post nasal drip making this happen, possibly irritating my throat and making it feel as though there is a lump. it doesn't happen all the time but it may happen every two weeks lasting for about 2 to 3 days. i have had it with going to doctors. i need a break from seeing them and paying my copay. i have seen 4 doctors in 2 weeks. has anyone experienced what i am going through, and can you enlighten me as to what to do??
Please tell me what works and if that pickling salt stuff works the mixture. I've been this way for months.
I HAVE JUST STARTED TO USE THE PRIKLING SALT, BAKING SODA AND WATER SOLUTION. HOW LONG DID YOU USE IT AT FIRST. IS IT ONCE A DAY FOR TWO WEEKS, THEN YOU SLOW DOWN. I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG TO USE IT I JUST GOT THIS SOLUTION MIXTURE FROM A FRIEND WHO WENT TO THE ENT DOCTOR AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING AS YOU. IT REALLY WORKS WELL FOR HER ALSO. DO YOU FILL UP THE BABY ASPIRATOR AND SQUIRT, THAT'S WHAT I DO. I USE ALL IN ONE NOSTRIL AND THEN FILL UP THE ASPIRATOR AND USE ALL IN THE OTHER NOSTRIL. DOES IT EVER GOE IN YOU EARS?? IT DID MINE. THAT'S NOT GOING TO CREATE A PROBLEM IS IT?? DO YOU GET THE DIZZINESS TOO? DOES YOUR NASIL PASSAGES BLEED? AWAITING YOUR RESPONSE.
Went through the same thing and had burn marks in the back of my throut from the nasal goo. The ENT that I went to see started me on nasal steroids and now I use Neil Med which is a saline and baking soda mixture which you mix in bottle in kit and is cheap and all natural. If you can handle the squirting of this mixture in your nasal cavities all will be well within 2 weeks and if you continue to use it should not come back. 2 years with only minor bouts due to little bumps in ear that cause poor drainage. same thing here. my PCP always tells me that i have puss in the back of my throat which is telling him that my sinus are dripping. but there never seems to be a remedy. all the medications (rhinacort, flonase and so many more)are not working. he seems amazed too!! what to do, what to do. somedays that's how i feel. if i feel dizzy (I have been tested for vertigo and i don't have it) then i know i am not going to have a good day, which impairs me from enjoying my life sometimes. at least i know i'm not going crazzzzzy. i have been trying to explain this to my doctors for about 2 years now, and they are finally catching on about my dizziness. sometimes i use to think they thought i was crazy or something because they couldn't find anything, but everyone knows their BODY. i had gotten some good advise from a specialist in another area for another problem, and i will never forget what he told me; nobody knows you body like you do, if you feel like something is not right with you get it checked out, never let any one tell you there's nothing wrong with you if you know that there is, keep going to a doctor until one of them gets it right, and that's exactly what i do.
just wanted to let you know...ive been dealing with the same exact thing...i had a real bad sinus infection back in january..and ever since ive had that junk in my throat...and it wont come up..nothing helps, ive been on nasanex for like a month...that does not help, i think it actually made it worse...i dunno about you but when i do get something up..its clear with small green chuncks (sorry its gross..i know)no allergies that i know of...and of course when i go to the dr they dont see anything...sometimes its even hard to swallow theres so much stuff in my throat...just wanted to let you know your not the only one dealing with it!!
for the unsettled stomach take pepermint candy. i just got off the phone with the doctor and told him that when i walk ( i walk about 3-4 miles a day) my nose constantly runs. i am on rhinacort but that does not seem to dry up the mucus. he is now prescribng flonase to me which i have to pick up after work. the dizziness comes from your sinus. try a salt water rinse in the nose to see if that works for you it is suppose to clean out your nose and ears of bacteria. if you have not done it and need the recipe let me know. the dizziness comes from all the mucus in your sinus.
I just want to let you know that I to am suffering from some of the same symptoms. The difference is I do have allergies. I will say that the Allergist should have told you that the soreness in your throat is casued from the post nasaul drip. Also you mentioned that you went to see about the your stomach in some form. I will say the allerist also told me that the stomach is effected by the nasual drippig as well. I am just trying to figure out what is the reason for my dizzyness. I just feel like I am coming down with something, you know how you feel like dizzy or a little nasuea a few days before a virus. But in my case it goes and comes. If I find out anything I will post something to see if it can help you. I feel a little better inside becasue I thought something weird was happening to me and only me..!! I hope you feel better.
