Blood in stools

I am having an issue of having blood in my stools.  It doesnt happen all the time, and has been on and off for a while.  When it happens I also have pain right inside the where the stools exit.  It is a bright red.  What things would be causing this.  I am pretty scared.

Usually a hemorroid will cause this. Do you notice the bleeding after an episode of constipation?

Whwn blood is bright red that usually means it's "fresh" blood. Could be hemroids but you should never mess with rectal bleeding. A very simple test can be done in a Dr.s office to tell.

It could be an internal hemorrhoid.
