Aortic Aneurism?

by ck3333, Feb 21, 2007 12:00AM
OK, 40 years old, male, smoker until about a year ago.  Use nicotine replacement therapy.   Not overweight.  (Had been briefly for about a year).  Drink moderately.  May have been exposed to carbon monoxide a few weeks ago.

Recently have been getting some circulation issues in my groin and legs and weakness in my knees (over a few week period).

I seem to have a slight cyanotic effect happening from time to time where my knees, and tongue both have a deep red grape violet color rather than their normal pink.  This is seeming to come and go and doesn't seem correlated to tenderness I am about to describe.  Does seem to coincide with anxety.

I also have indigestion and belching alot.

More regularly recently, I have been getting a pain and tenderness about a fourth to a third of the distance from the bottom tip of my breast bone to my navel and maybe a half inch to the left.  Would this location be likely for a an aortic aneurism?

I seem to be able to feel my pulse there if I gently press with my fingers, though not as strongly as I can on the carotid artery.
