I posted this in the women's health forum, but I just wanted to know if you could help.

I went to my gynecologist yesterday, he gave me an antibiotic for it and everything seemed fine to him. But, with this UTI, I occasionally have what looks like a vaginal bugger..
It's weird, but that's the only thing i can compare it to.
It's slightly odorous, jelly-like, and i think there was a blood clot in it the most recent one.

could it be vaginitis, or just a symptom of a UTI?

Usually UTI's are diagnosed by culturing the urine and this takes a few days for the culture to grow out the bacteria. They are normally confined to the  bladder contents.

Thick, even jelly like vaginal discharge is another matter. It may help to know that in the second half of your mensrual cycle, the cervix gets clogged up with a mucuous like material, which can sometimes have spots of blood in it. sometimes this can be discharged into the vagina just before a period.

Some types of birth control pills can also thicken the cervical mucus, and pregnancy can also be associated with it as well.

The vaginal product which you describe is probably not part of the UTI symptom set. Also, yeast infections are usually associated with a whitish discharge without much of an odor.
