No testicles

We are told that the child has no testicles to come down.

Is there anything that can be done for him?

Will he be able to have any sex life at all, and will it effect his physical appearance?

Normally there are two approaches to this situation (known as cryptorchidism) - a hormonal or surgical approach.

Treatment is normally needed for this condition, because it is associated with hernia, testicular cancer, infertility and torsion.    It can occur in 4 percent of males.

The decision of hormonal therapy versus surgery cannot be made in this forum without knowing more information.  However, I would discuss these options with your personal physician, and consider a referral to a pediatric urologist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
