I know that I already posted on here but please guys try a chiropractor as well. They are not frauds. we need to find what is causing the problems. I love to research so do some research on the web about chiropractors! Please give it a try. I do believe that we need both fields of medicine.
celexa, lamictal, wellbutrin xl, cymbalta, restoril, seroquel, protonix and zelnorm. Also I was on Depo Provera for 17 months which really added to my weight gain. I've been off this drug since December 05, still haven't gotten my period back and am still gaining weight. I also take pain meds when my fibro acts up.
I workout with a personal trainer and having been going to the gym 3-4 times a week for a month and really working out hard and i gained 10 more pounds. I am now topping out at 240. I have never come close to this weight in my life. Before this my highest was 185 which now I would love to get back down to.
I am now trying Nutrisystem and am praying it works.
I could really use some advice from people going through this.
I am 43, do you think I should go see my gyn to see if it's fluid retention, hormonal. I've had my thyroid checked and it came back normal. This is so upsetting and discouraging.
Please help.
Thanks
My first post here. After reading the posts, I can relate to the frustration and despair felt with increasing weight gain. Mine too, has been steadily rising, despite the years of workouts and trying to eat healthily. It all came to a head, 7 months ago, when I got a wisdom tooth removed [impacted] which has resulted in 2 surgeries and countless prescriptions for antibiotics, which in turn, led to, you guessed, more weight gain.
So one day, I get a phone call from a chiropractic office, inviting me in for analysis in exchange for 2 cans of food [I had spent the day at the ER with breathing difficulties] and decided to give the chiro a try as I had a bout of backpain a few months earlier which lasted for `11 days - hang in there, I am getting to the point!
The point is, if your spine is subluxated [wonky!] and the nerves are trapped, then this leads to all kinds of illnesses and a general feeling of unwellness. After one adjustment, I felt a release and could breathe easier, I have since been going for the last two months and feel so much more in tune with my body - the best thing is, no meds are prescribed, migraines can be taken away with an adjustment.
The next part of this story is the discovery of a website called Dr.Natura, if you have the stomach enough to read through this website [and it is gross] you will find that you could possibly be carrying around up to 20lbs of impacted fecal matter in your intestines and that this must be released from your body for obvious reasons - if you take vitamins and supplements to nourish your body, you may, inadvertently be nourishing some other things inside you [told you it was gross] so a thorough cleansing is necessary in order for the body to lose weight. It is day 6 for me, and this body of mine has lost 5lbs already! I am ecstatic.
I believe through a combination of exercise, lots of water, no medications, colonic cleansing and chiropractic care, I am finally enabling my body to release this excess weight I have been carrying around for a very long time and it feels fantastic.
Hope this helps and thanks for listening.
