| . | Recently I developed chest discomfort and had a cardiac workup that was neg. It included an Echo cardiogram, chest x-ray, blood work and EKG. I have had back pain just below my bra line on the right side. I have a seven month old baby that I am having trouble holding. I have had a gallbladder ultrasound that was negative. The pain is mid line in the front as well and sometimes in my upper right chest area. I have also had a CT sacn to r/o PE and it was negative. Do you think I need an MRI of my spine? I am 31 years old. |

| . | that is odd. i was going to say it could be your gallbladder or liver. i have pain in that area too. i have fatty infiltration of my liver thanks to gaining weight. the pain you describe fits the gallbladder exactly. and being pregnant causes all sorts of problems for the gallbladder for alot of people. i guess it could also be GERD. but not sure about that. if you have pain after eating, it wouldn't exactly be your spine. i have herniated discs in my lower spine but no pain after eating. so a MRI isn't going to tell you more. the ct scan with drinking the barium and waiting an hour then having a contrast entered by IV is the best thing to get a good pic of what is going on in there. if you didn't have that done already, i would get that done. that would show gall stones better as well. hope this helps. let us know.

| . | Ultrasound will show gallstones or fatty infiltration of your liver...you should have had one of those done! |
