Darvon addiction

by Lucy Stir, Nov 08, 1999 12:00AM
I have been taking about 12 darvon a day for 2 years due to neck pain. How dangerous is this long term? Is Darvon safe enough to take at this dose for a long time? Is it safe for me to taper off gradually to withdraw rather than find a specialist? I know I may need long-term drug counseling, but until I do that, is Darvon a safe drug to gradually withdraw from on your own? I just started a new job and can't take any time off, nor do I have any benefits at this time. Thanks
