I feel for you soooooo much. I also have a eating problem and probably also know how many calaries are in a banana to fried chicken. I have been on a diet for about 17 yrs until now that is. I have joined the Weigh Down Workshop. It is a biblical program to help you lose weight and you DON'T have to be religious to join or follow the principles they teach and this is not a DIET. You just eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full. I know what you may be thinking that that is just to easy or whatever, I tore this program apart when I first started but believe me it works. You can check them out on their site, www.wdworkshop.com or if you have any further questions or would like an email buddy, my address is: ***@****
I pray this will be the answer you have been looking for.
Take care.

yes food is as hard to deal with as drugs...harder actually, we need to eat to live so we have to have some every day, id like to see an addict try to controll their drug use like that ;)
So.. as I said, she's done everything except the one thing I believe she really needs to do (myself and most of her friends, btw) - she has yet to admit out loud she has a problem with food and is helpless in controlling it.
Generally speaking (I don't know your story) but her kind of eating generally has an underlying issue. Emotional eating. I believe hers is from being molested as a child - which, btw, is a very common symptom adults have (hiding under weight, so to speak) when they have not dealt with the psychological issue from the molestation.
Anyway, if any of this rings true for you - emotional eating, eating when stressed, anxious, etc. - my advice is to join O.A. as well as get into counceling.
It's all I know to tell you. But I have witnessed a food addict firsthand, and again, know what she has done - which is everything except dealing with why she over eats.
Good luck...
mj
again, good luck.
