Pot withdrawl

by Liz White, Feb 05, 2000 12:00AM
I have been an every day pot smoker for about 20 years. I have tried to quit but panic the first day and get high. I haven't been able to quit. What can I do for help other than N.A. meetings " I realize I will probably have to go to those" and what can I expect as far as withdrawl.

Hi, I know it is hard to quit but, my brother quit a year ago for a job and he had no physical withdrawl symptoms but he was very irritable for about a month.  He had been a heavy (smoked about every 2 hours) pot smoker for about 10 years.  I wish you the best, quitting is hell, I am working on a vicodin addiction right now.  Thanks Kim

I WANT TO QUIT SMOKING POT BECAUSE IT REALLY IS GETTING OUT OF CONTROL.  BUT I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO LET MY FRIENDS KNOW THAT I'M SERIOUS.  ONCE I SEE THEM THEY ARE HIGH AND I GET ANXIOUS AND THEY TURN ME ON.  I K NOW I'M SHOULD BE WITH THEM BUT IT'S HARD NOT TO BECAUSE THEY LIVE NEXT DOOR AND I WORK WITH ONE OF THEM  HELP..

There is only one solution to quitting pot but it aint easy....

Dont jump on the bandwagon, If you wanna quit, stick to your word, and dont hang around smokers as much as usual....occupy yourself with other things, to pass the time...
