Im starting the recipe..got some Q's.....

by erotisy, Jan 01, 2002 12:00AM
Hey everyone...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! I gotta tell you, I'm sooo excited , I'm really gonna do it. I want it more than the first time..and that first time I went 4 days cold turkey..(hell)..so I think I'm really gonna pull thru!!! Anyways....I'm gonna do it with this recipe, but I've been back on my Wellbutrine..its a anti-depresant. In the directions for it, it says don't take L-Tyrosine with a SSRI.(serotonin reuptake inhibitor), like prozac,Effexor,paxil..any psychiatric mood elevators.... HUH???

Does that mean I should stay away from the "wellbu." until I'm done with detox??? AND.... How long do I do the recipe? I'm scared I might think its over, but its not..its happened before. So let me know ok? The point about having hot bath ready at all times is sucky...WHAT A TIME FOR MY HEATING ELEMENT TO BRAKE IN MY HOT WATER HEATER....ahhhhh......I'll boil the damn water if I  have to,,,,haha... I'm doing this come hell or high water!!!!  I'm starting as soon as I get the **** for it.. so let me know what you can..a.s.a.p......thanks, EROTISY

I had the same L-tyrosine concern as i take paxil as well.  I just started a new tapper down which will last about 20 days to get me to zero.  I've done it this way before and made it successfully --- but the last 3 times relapsed after 4-6 weeks clean - so guess wasn;t so successful.  Anyway, I kept taking the paxil and took 2500mg Tryosine during the process and didn't notice or have any problems.  I'm no doctor, just telling you what I did.

I have a QUESTION maybe someone can answer:  I take Zydone which is Hydro/tylenol.  Is hydro, hydro? I mean, would this be the same as the hydro in vicodin or others like it.  Just curious.

Happy New year all - durty on way to clean again

I assume that hydro is hydrocodone. My doctor gave me Norco and didn't tell me what it was. I called the pharmacy and sure enough it was hydrocodone/tylenol. I never filled the prescription, because I just wanted off the hydrocodone. I guess you can look at it as more withdrawing ahead with a slower wean. It depends on what you can handle. Happy New Year. To better times!!!

hey people:

wellbotrine and l-tyrosine are well tolerated togather. Welbutrine

is not an SSRI.

started a detox dec 31 and am now in day 3. what a way to start the

new year! don't know how long it will last, but will see.

Sorry to bust in on the thread.  But I keep seeing the term "jonesing" what does it mean?

by Telby, Jan 02, 2002 12:00AM
To: alchemist
It's an old junkie term, means to crave drugs, or often the term used for when withdrawl starts.  Don't know where it came from but it's been around a long time.  A drug "Jones" Telby

if fear is causing you to have second thoughts, then it's time to

stop listening. Ya want fear calling all the main "shots?"

add to your detox material a Rx of klonipam. even if your using

anotber benzo to sleep. klonipam will give it's user a sense of

"wellbeing." Just the thing to ward off panis attacks that always hit ya' square in the guts! In fact klonipam is the only benxo i've been taking.

monday night was like dante's enferno.cold burning flesh and gut

cramps were the feature.my wife and i watched sci. fi channels

marriathon of "Twilight Zone." i don't know if that was the best mood setter!

yesterday felt much better. i was even able to eat soup for sup-

per.

today i have this sensation of waking up from a narcotic coma. i'm

still the same person as when i'm stoned except i'm mot as "nice"

(as my wife puts it). she seems pleased to have the real "me" back

for  however long.

best of luck with any who attempt a detox-remeber attitude is the

only thing we actually have control of

well your doin good I see.. Do I have to get a script for that klo.. thingy?

one of the things differant we have, is me and my hubby get along AWSOME when I'm on stuff.. Its me I know!! I'ts like I talk myself into feeling better about my life, marriage, everything when I'm on stuff. Thats the big thing I need to overcome..not just the addiction. I'm scared of loosing my marriage when its all said and down, ya know? It hasnt been that great for awhile... but when I'm on stuff, its like were all better, good sex, we talk alot, do stuff together... we need to work on our problems not hide them..I know all this already.. its a matter of just dealing with it all....erotisy

SSFR:

such a pleasure to hear fromy you on any forum! I agree completely

with you about klonipin (or any other benzo) being dangeriously

addictive. detox and common sense must travel togather to reach

a positive outcome.

about you SSFR:

i seem to recall something about you and detox. if i'm right, how's

it going? I'm in day four of too many mg. of oxy 3 times day detox. the only bad night was new years eve.i felt like something out of

Dante's Inferno. it only lasted 5 hours. the rest has been so easy

i keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. best of luck with your

detox, if you are doing one.

now you should know enough to keep an angel on your shoulder!

ok so it looks like my vallium won't do the trick huh? Do you think I could get the klon. script by using another reason? Is it only given for detox or things like that?

Thank you guys alot!!! all this info, and support does wonders for my head these days. Your very right about me being scared, I feel like I'm about to go down a huge roller-coaster with no seat belt on..

I'll be checkin in later..thanks again.

Don't let the drug control your reactions and interactions with your husband. I did that. You will make a bad mistake.  If he loves you, and you know it, confide in him and ask for help.  If you aren't sure he can handle it, seek outside treatment. I have been there and have hurt so much from my mistake!
