Oxycontin Question

One of my closest friends takes Oxycontin for nerve damage, my question is simple, they take like 4 at a time of the 10mg pills.  Is this something I should be worried about?

How are you? I found a great fibro website ... the real trick is keeping your spirits up. Make sure you are sleeping well. It makes such a difference. The next is hot baths and showers and of coarse gentle excersize. Also, are you taking any vitamins? There has to ba a way to get medical care without insurance. Hmmm .. what about medicaid? Anyway ... I was thinking about you ... ***@****

I am doing well as can be x-pected, Jerr.. How 'bout u?.. Quitting is a *****, and tho I took some Xanax to work yesterday, I didnt break down.. I did miss the simmple thing of simply caressing (and tho that is a sick verb choice.. it is accurate) I missed caressing the 2-6 Vikes I usu kept in my pocket..



My question is Do Vikes intensify the Xanax, or vice versa, Thomas? (Or whomever) I never took them together for fear one would lessen the other.. I spose I was a ritualistic, Druggie (That's right.. WAS!)



Tho this is DUMB, I AM taking some Vikes to work today.. It was like I was missing my fav pen or something yesterday.. ike the Naked Emperor.. just the feel of running my fingers over them..



Jerr, the drug hound is fine, pooping all over east Hell (except on beds), and sleeping molded next to me.



Yesterday, I had a toothache (more like narc W/D) but went to bed at 4 PM and Lord, I paid the price cleaning dog mess this AM at 4 AM.. which, BTW, marked FOUR long Days of being (dry) clean..



Ah.. Back to cold weather too!

And Jerri: I've thouht of you much of late & have wondered how you are doing.  I've read thru your posts & have noted how well thou doth fare but also recognize you are fresh back on the wagon.  I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you & trust you'll keep pushin that rock up that mountain!  In this, I have no doubt.



I'd wish you both the best of luck but methinks you both have more than your share of that, not to mention conviction, and quite naturally, an angel firmly atop each of your shoulders.

I can only tell you what I've experienced combining benzos such as Xanax with Vicodin. I don't know which potentiates which, but the "whole" effect is greater than the sum of its parts. I must also say this, most of the drugged-out behavior I'm least proud of occurred when I combined a benzo with Vics. It's not a bad way to go if you're home convalescing, but I wouldn't recommend doing it at work and/or if you have to drive.

When you mention F are you talking about Fioricet?  My good Dr just gave me 60 that I can pick up on my way home from work, but don't want to end up where I was with the Percs.  Sounds like you get a good buzz even though it is not a "narcotic"



Any words of wisdom?

Anyhooo, Fink, tho I cant answer for the more then eloquent Dancin', I CAN say.. stay the hell away fro F.. IF u can.. Tho they were NOT my DOC (drug/choice), they DEFINITELY provide a buzz.. w/ or w/o codeine.  A Huge, nice buzz. Will Make you do pirouttes (sp) w/ toe shoes.



I still have them (Fs), full script, 3 refills, but refuse to sub one demon for another.



I think the DOC (drug/choice) F peeps will tell you F is the worse of the 2 evils (F vs, Narcs), As far as withdrawal *******, I agree.. but I (and to ea his own) the narcotic high is.. well, just that a Narcotic hi..



I am sure u know what of I speak. ZACTLY. eh?

I feel like a real WUSS, whining 'bout a frickin addiction while safe in my hovel, err mansion, filled w/ lovin' pets and a man who claims the same.. while there is a frick war on, I am brickin it here, tho not comfortably, but def. tween hi fiber htread count sheets.. And NOT in the dessert, w. bombs and bedrolls.



I know not what I am inking anymore... Maybe I shuldnt get into a pissing contest w those who buy ink by the barrel as Twain or some other hilarious writer said

Hey, thx, you!! In yr honoUr, kilo, and Thomas's.. since I slept 20 hours yesterday on 1 (only) .5 Xanax, I plan to split uno tonight to stop my leg which is running laps almost as fast as i am running (to the Head.. bathroom)



I would smoke a doobie (howz that to show my age?) in honour of You, kilo, oh so mary metric jane name, bu I quit inhaling, Clinton and I , I spose..



anyway, the pup and i better cruddle up and brick (close as i ever get to a kilo) well, we better brick  it FAST.. to get some sleep before we all meet in the ditch tomorrow..



I would ramble on, but God knows my animal zoo stories may well  lend themselves to zoophilia sagas if I give that half Xanax tht I swallowed time to kick in... Hell, 4 hrs is 3.5 hrs from now.... and I'll be pledging allegiance at 7.30 AM w/ Hormones Galore..

Funny you bring up the 'ol doobie. My employer (Dept. of Defense) loves to make us **** in cups all the time. One year I had 14 **** tests, 3 of them in one month. Completely random, per a computer program. I know it's random, because I've pissed next to 3 star generals. At one time I went 7 years and was never picked. Our **** tests are closely observed...I mean they get within 2 feet of your "johnson" and stare, just to make sure you're not cheating. So I haven't touch that stuff for 19 years.

Bet you if I took one hit tonight I would be totally wasted!



Funny thing though...can't smoke a single joint, but my doctors would prescribe 120 Vike ES and a bottle of 100 Roxycodone for any breakthrough pain. On top of that he would throw in 4 or 5 refills for vikes! Crazy ****.



As far as the "kilo" nickname, it was my callsign when I flew Pararescue missions. Air Force Pararescue Specialists are medically trained personnel assigned with some other special op crazies whose job is to fly in and pick-up a downed or shot downed pilot. Once we have him on the chopper we stablize his injuries. Needless to say, usually the place where the pilot punches out is a "unfriendly" neck of the woods.



Well all that fun eventualy caught-up with my shoulder and I was DNIF'ed (Duties not to include flying). Since my shoulder injuries I haven't flown a mission in over 2 years. So you can see where my "love" of pain pills all started. Wouldn't you know it...we have a great flying war going on right now and I'm not allowed to go over and have any fun. In the mean time I'm playing around in a genetics lab undertaking cardiac pathophysiology research. My new "friends" are rats, rabbits, and monkeys.



Well enough insomnia for me...It's time to start counting sheep.
