Question Title: Carotid arteries

Forum: The Heart Forum
Topic: Stenosis

I'm looking for the peak systolic & diastolic velocities in doppler U/S of carotid arteries; the normal values of course. I have searched every where I know, so I turn to you. Any info, or any websites, would be appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Misty,

I don't know of any web sites but I would check a textbook on peripheral vascular disease. Your local medical library can direct you to this.

I hope you find this information useful. Information provided in the heart forum is for general purposes only. Only your physician can provide specific diagnoses and therapies. Please feel free to write back with additional questions.
