Question Title: Pregnancy and arrythmia

Forum: The Heart Forum
Topic: Arrhythmia

I have afib and flutter and am planning on getting pregnant. I was thoroughly checked out by my cardiologist who switched me from tenormin to lanoxin which he said I can safely take. I was curious how my arrythmia will respond to pregnancy -- am I likely to become more symptomatic?

Dear Amy,

It really depends. What kind of symptoms are you having now? Are you constantly in afib? How are you doing on the Lanoxin? What did your cardiologist say about getting pregnant?
