Question Title: ECG reading

Forum: The Heart Forum
Topic: Electrocard

I just had an ECG done and had the following reading:

Normal Sinus Rhythm
Nonspecific St & T Wave Abnormalily
Abnormal ECG

Vent Rate 75 BPM
PR Interval 180 ms
QRS Duration 84 ms
QT/TTc 360/396 ms
P-R-T axes 69 48 41

What does this mean and why is it abnormal? I'm 39 years old and heart disease does run in my family.

Gaby

Dear Gaby

The ekg is abnormal because of the nonspecific st and t wave abnormality. This could be a normal variant, a computer misinterpretation, or due to heart disease. Your doctor who knows you is in the best position to differentiate between these possibilities.

I hope this has been useful. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to write back.
