Question Title: A different kind of questionForum: The Heart Forum
| |
This is not the usual question you get here, but I hope you can help me anyway. I am a fiction writer working on a novel, and I need an answer for reasearch purposes. Here is what I need: I want my main character to suffer what SEEMS like a heart attack, with chest pain, dizziness, faintness, etc, but it needs to be something other than an actual blockage. In other words, Im trying to write a scene wherein everyone rushes to the hospital, very upset and worried, but the nature of his illness is such that he will be fine and out of the hospital in a day or two. Could a stress-induced arrythmia casue these symptoms? My character is under a great deal of stress when this happens. I would appreciate if you could suggest a couple of possibilities, along with the kind of technical language that my character or his family might hear to describe his condition. Thanks very much.
