I'm a 14 yr. old male, I've been getting dizzy spells [includes weakness, vison blurred, and either numbness or a tingle feeling]
for must of my life. This summer they seem to be hitting harder and more frequntly, could this be caused by the heart?heat?or eyes?

Dear Dustin, thank you for your question. The dizzy spells you describe sound
concerning, so you should see your doctor soon about them. At 14 years of age,
I doubt you have a heart condition because something like that should have been
picked up by your pediatrician when you were younger. However, you may be having
new onset rhythm disturbances of the electrical system of the heart where
your heart beats too fast and your symptoms develop. Also, mild seizures
should be considered as a cause since your vision changes and you develop
weakness and numbness during the attacks. If your dizzy spells were only
occuring during exercise in the heat, I would suspect that you become dehydrated
to cause your symptoms. Overall, you should get a complete medical evaluation
and you should avoid any intense exertion until you can see a doctor. I hope
you find this information useful.
