Question Title: Anti-rejection medicines before Heart Transplant

Forum: The Heart Forum
Topic: Heart Disease

I would like to know how soon a person must start taking the immunodepressants (anti-rejection medicines) before they can receive a new heart? Must they be taking them days, weeks, months before receiving the new heart, or do they start taking these drugs when they receive their new heart?
