Question Title: atrial fib/supraventricular tachycardia/aberancy with intramit ventricular tachyForum: The Heart Forum
| |
my mother in law had a 24 hour holter after had she a problem with her heart. the moniter pickedup atrial fib, supraventricular tachycardia & aberancy with intramitince ventricular tachycardia (not sure if this is spelled right) it took them more then 24 hour to get her undercontrol. she wants a second doctor to see her but her primary dr refuses to refer her to anyone else he said that he could handle it. we would like to know if there is a doctor who works with this type of condition in this area. her doctor said she could go at any time -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for your question. The type of doctor that specializes in this area is called an electrophysiologist. However, all cardiologists are also trained in this area and it may not be necessary for your mother to seek a second opinion. If you tell me what city you live in perhaps I can refer you to someone in that area. I hope you find this information useful. Information provided in the heart forum is for general purposes only.
