Question Title: Requesting information

Forum: The Heart Forum
Topic: Defibrillator

I would like to request information on the latest and greatest defibrillator. I need this information within the next couple of days if possible. My father is going to be getting a replacement defibrillator in the near future. I sure hope that it is smaller than the one he has, because the current one is very big. I will appreciate any information that you can provide. Sincerely, Cynthia Timberlake and her Dad

Dear Cynthia,

Wow, that's quite a request and somewhat akin to asking an auto enthusiast what the best car is. The answer will vary depending on the underlying reason for the defibrillator, the doctor's preference, and the other medical conditions. In general the technology in all defibrillators has greatly improved and I am sure your father will be much pleased with the size of his new defibrillator.

I hope you find this information useful. Information provided in the heart forum is for general purposes only. Only your physician can provide specific diagnoses and therapies. Please feel free to write back with additional questions.
