cardiolite stress test results

by apple, Aug 13, 1999 12:00AM
I have had a mitral valve repair, a year and half ago. I had a cardiolite stress test the other day, the report showed a fixed defect. During surgury, the hearport method was tried and failed, resulting in a wound to my heart which was repaired at that time. Would this be the fixed defect they are looking at ?

Thanks.

Dear Donna,

It is likely that this fixed defect represents a prior small heart attack or scar surrounding this heart port area that you describe.  This requires no further managment and otherwise, your results are quite good.

I hope this has been useful. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to write back.
