ACE Inhibitors

What do ACE Inhibitors really do to lower blood pressure? How do Vasotec and AltAce differ if they are both ACE?

thanks

Dear David

ACE inhibitors decrease arterial tone and thus decrease blood pressure. Altace may have some additional beneficial effects on the cells that line blood vessels.
