AVR and Coumadin Mailing List

by Hank Eyring, Sep 18, 1999 12:00AM
Hello,

In the 5 months since my AVR surgery,  I have had many people email me asking me questions about my recovery process.

I have started a mailing list for people who would like to participate.

To join, go to http://frontpage.inficad.com/~hanky/heart.htm and subscribe.

The list is not for medical type questions.  These type of questions should be answered here and by your physicians.

But for people like me who are about to have AVR surgery, are recovering and/or need to deal with Coumadin for the rest of their lives, this is a good resource.

Issues like what do we eat on a daily basis to help maintain steady coumadin levels, what kind of pains we feel in our bodies after surgery, how our wives feel about having husbands that "click", how long it takes after surgery to be able to wrestle with the kids again and stuff like that.

Just go to http://frontpage.inficad.com/~hanky/heart.htm to subscribe and remember, Doctor type questions are best left here in this forum.

Thanks,

Hank Eyring
