Child with Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia and New Symptoms

My daughter Amanda was born with Patent Ductus Arteriosus which closed on its own at age 18 months.  Also Ventricular Septal Defect which closed at age 5.  Also diagnosed with systolic murmers.  At age 6 she began to have palpitations and chest pains, was diagnosed with PAT and put on tenormin.  She only remained on it a few months and then when the pains were gone was taken off, as the pediatric cardiologist felt this was something she would also outgrow and did not want her on this medication long term.  She had repeated incidents of this at 7, 8, and 9 and was again placed on tenormin for a short period until the pain subsided.  Her last holter 24 hour monitor showed her heart over 150 over 100 times with a high of 203.  She is now 10 years old, height 4'11", weight 93.  One month ago she began having chest pain and racing heart again, also shortness of breath.  Additionally she has had pins and needles sensation in her hands and feet.  Ten days ago she began have dizzy spells and nearly fainting, several times a day.  On Tuesday she saw her pediatrician who felt this was symptomatic of PAT, she had an EKG that was slightly atypical, BP 100/34, oxygen on finger was 70, and was checked for anemia, because the doctor thought she looked pale and is complaining of fatigue, test was normal.  Today she saw a family practice doctor who thought that this may be a neurological problem and suggested a neuro consult.  EKG was repeated, atypical, BP 110/56, he drew blood for CBC, C-25 and thyroid, back next week.  She was put on holter 24 hour monitor.  Tomarrow she has appointment with pediatric cardiologist.  Is there any thing that you think we should look for.  Any additional tests that would pinpoint this problem.  Is this just a normal progression for PAT. Thank you so much.

Depending on what her cardiologist thinks she may need to see an electrophysiologist (specialist in heart rhythms).  There may be a rhythm that can be cured with a catheter ablation.  Let us know how things turn out.  Best wishes.
