Sotalol or Heart Trouble?

by Moon Unit, Oct 03, 1999 12:00AM
I suffered cardiac arrest in 1/98.  Age 44 female, no prior heart problems, but family history.  Got implanted defibrillator/pacemaker.  Meds: sotalol, lisinopil, zocor, hormones.  Have had no problems since 4/98.

However, I still need a nap every day, as well as sleeping 8-9 hours a night, can't go up stairs, can't walk more than 1-1/2 miles, temperature over 65 means it's too hot for me to walk, over 80 means too hot to do anything.

Are these ongoing symptoms more likely a result of my heart problem (whatever it is), or a side effect of the sotalol?

Dear Moon Unit (Zappa I presume)!

this may very well be your medications.  Although i would also recommend checking your thyroid hormone as well as assessing the status of your heart function.
