Chest Pain related to Epigastric Hernia?

In Oct 2000 I had a hysterctomy, at which time they found an epigastric hernia in the subsyphoid area. At the time the hernia measured 2.5cm x 2.5cm. The hernia was not repaired because I had not been complaining about any symptoms relating to it and it was not in the original incision line. I am not having bouts of unexplained chest pain and wondering if they can be related to this hernia.
