Borderline EKG

by blueangelz, Mar 11, 2005 12:00AM
Hello, I posted a while back and since then it has gotten worse. Past 3 days with chest pressure and pain off and on with dizziness upon standing that keeps going off and on while walking around.Cold feet and hands. Went to ER and had full blood work-up,chest x-ray and EKG. Blood work was great and x-ray was good. EKG came out borderline. I forget how it was worded but it was only 1 lead and it was something about T waves.I beleive the word started with an A. Is this still okay?  This chest pressure/pain is unbeleivable though. Once more I am 30 yrs old and slightly overweight. Have had stress test in Oct I believe, which was normal and MRI which was fine also. Thyroid came out good also.

Hi Blueangelz,

This sounds fairly complicated.  I am not even sure how to approach this with the information given.  The short of it is you need a doctor.  This could be anything from cardiac to psycholigical/anxiety driven -- this cannot be decided over the internet.  When you do see your doctor and if it is a new doctor, make sure you bring all your medical records including the MRI itself, not just a report.

I hope you find an answer soon and wish I could help more, don't feel comfortable saying much with the information given.

Good luck

Also is it ok that I have always had normal EKG's and then have a borderline one?

One last thing..lol. I have noticed that blood pressure during some of these attacks go up to 140/85 or so but when laying down my blood pressure can be as low as 98/60. How low is to low?

Hi again, not sure if you read these notes again or not but did find a doc that I liked and ran nother EKG which was normal. Maybe lead was misplaced or something? Anyway, just wanted to thank you for your help. I am a military spouse and whenever we see doctors we see different ones each time, as of next month I will be able to go see one doctor all the time. Thank you again, Traci
