HI THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE.I JUST HAVE A FEW MORE QUESTIONS.

WHAT EXACTLY IS familial essential hypertension?,renal artery stenosis,AND coarctation?.

I DIDNT MENTION THAT ALONG WITH MY CHEST PAINS I ALSO AM ALWAYS TIRED,ALWAYS!,AND MY LEGS AND FEET ARE ALWAYS COLDER THEN THE REST OF MY BODY,AND I HAVE SHORTNESS OF BREATH WITHOUT EXCERTION... ALSO I SOMETIMES HAVE HEAD ACHES FOR WEEKS AT A TIME I GET THEM AS SOON AS I WAKE UP NORMALLY,DOES ANY OF THESE THINGS POSE ANY INTEREST IN ANY OF MY PROBLEMS?

SHOULD I WATCH WHAT I DO WITH THIS ANEURYSM? THEY SAID IT WAS ABOUT 3CM IN SIZE,CAN IT GET BIGGER OR RUPTURE?CAN I HAVE A STROKE BECAUSE OF IT?...I CANT GET TOO MUCH OUT OF MY DR. OR I FORGET TO ASK ALL MY QUESTIONS WHEN I SEE HIM.

AND FINALLY WHAT SYMPTOMS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ANEURYSM IF ANY?

THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE HELP!!

plz help,

Please respect the forum rules on posting which limit you to 2 post in a 6-month period.

Essential hypertension is hypertension most likely due to your genetic predisposition. Renal stenosis and coartation are 2 causes of early onset hypertension. You can discuss the possibilites of those conditions with your doctor.

I would look more into investigating your underlying anxiety. Your use of CAPs and your focus on this condition suggest that it may be playing a factor. All of the symptoms you mention are nonspecific, have no correlation with an septal aneurysm and can all be associated with anxiety.

SHOULD I WATCH WHAT I DO WITH THIS ANEURYSM?

No. You should strive to lead a active healthy lifestyle.

Write your questions down or type them out before you go to see your physician.  There is questionable increased risk of stroke with aneurysm with PFO. Without PFO this risk is not marked and without other indications for anticoagulation, primary prophylaxis is not recommended. A septal anurysm is a structural finding that is not associated with symptomatic sequlae.

good luck

plz help,

may i respectfully suggest that, as the doctor suggested, you take a deep breath, relax, and take your caps lock off.  i am 29 and i also have a frustrating medical condition but i have learned that panicking doesn't help (i used to run to the ER alot).   while i don't have any suggestions related to your specific medical condition, i highly agree that you need to get that BP down, has your doctor put you on a beta blocker or diuretic?
