Echo reference values?

Hi!
I was just wondering what reference values you use for a normal 2D-guided M-mode echocardiogram. The values I've found online are somewhat different.

Hello,
As strange as it sounds, normal values vary by echo lab. If the lab that did your echo provided you with values, you should use those. The other thing I would caution you about is that it is difficult to know what these numbers actually mean. It is easy to get upset about a value that is not clincally significant is outside the normal range.
SD = standard deviation.
SD means that 95% of normal populations has values in this range, but it is still possible to have normal values slightly outside the range depending on clinic cirucmstances.

LV diastolic dimension: 50.8 3.6 70.9 7.5
LV systolic dimension 35.9 3.4 28.9 2.8
LV wall thickness 18.1 2 15.5 1.5
LA dimension 37.5 3.6 33.1 3.2

However, I have difficulty understanding the values for LV dimensions. 70.9 sounds a little bit to large for a normal value? :)
And reference values mean mean + - 2 SD is equall to 95 %, right?
46.1 is the correct value (70 was in the row above).
+/- 2 SD is equal to 95%, correct.
