red spot

by Mrs., Sep 07, 2000 12:00AM
I recently discovered a  red spot(maybe the size of a nickel) on my outer labia, it does not hurt or itch, I am freaking out.  It was a little flaky, but now is just red.  any thoughts?

Could be anthing--or nothing.  If it came on suddenly, it's probably just mild inflammation.  My advice: apply OTC bacitracin ointment twice a day, otherwise leave the area alone except for gentle cleansing.  If the red spot is still there in 2 weeks (which I bet it won't), show your doctor.

Best.
