safety of pramosome 2.5% oitment

by Barb, Oct 08, 2000 12:00AM
My allergist has me taking pramosome 2.5% lotion for a rash I have that moves around my body usually where heat is.  He says this is very safe and I could use it for 3 years without any side effects. I know this is in the steroid family and am concerned about its safety.  How safe is this lotion?  I use it on my face, under my arms and genitalia.

Barb:

The hydrocortisone in Pramososne is only 2.5% hydrocortisone, a very weak preparation.  This is safe even on faces and genitalia.  If it helps, and it should, you can feel confident even with chronic use.

Best.
