Concerned over Skin rash and iching

by sadcat, Mar 23, 2003 12:00AM
I don't know where to start so I guess I'll start at the begining.  I have had for about a year off and on a burning and pain sensation when I urninate.  The pain often goes up and down my legs and the burning sensation can be felt in my legs especially if I sit for long periods of time.  I have a skin rash around my private part due to the iching sometime bumps comes up around my viganal when I ich alot.   I have been on bactrim as well as flagg which stop the pain and sensation but it comes back after I stop the medication.  I also experience random pain sensation  (exm.)like someone sticking pins in me.  at time all over my body.   My husband now complains that he has a iching and a rash on one side of his tesicles.  As of yet, he has not has a burning sensation. Just the uncontrolable iching.  What do you think we might have?

I'm honestly not sure.  I assume you've had urine culture tests to rule out urinary infection (that must be what the antibiotic Bactrim was for.)  Even if you've had urinary infections, they wouldn't explain the random pain sensations or the burning.  The bumps and the itch on your husband's privates doen't sound like anything at all.

Is it possible you're just worrying about this more than you need to?  I can't imagine any serious urinary condition you could have for a year and a half without being much sicker than you sound, and there's no skin problem I know of which gives symptoms like the ones you list.

I recmmend you get a thorough check from a dermatologist and an internist (regarding urinary infection), and if both of them say you're in the clear, then I'd just ignore the sensations, since they won't mean anything.

Take care.
