pain and bleeding from penis

by anxious1972, Jan 28, 2004 12:00AM
I was having intercourse with my girlfriend and experienced penile trauma from it bending severly. I bled from my penis and experienced pain when urinating. It's been months since and I still experience problems every now and then, usually if I've had to stop urinating mid stream and had to "pinch off". I experience a very sharp pain and I bleed for about an hour. I don't have any other discharges other than blood that flows like a cut. I do not have a bend in my penis either. I've been too embarrassed to seek medical attention in person since I work in healthcare and what it involves.

Another question I have is I also have always had a hard time orgasming aside from laying on my back and letting the woman ride on top. It's caused issues in relationships and I've never been able to figure it out. I've talked to psychiatrists and they believed it's a medical condition.

Again, I am a bit bashfull to call to make an appointment. I don't know if they are related but I would like to get a professional opinion on both issues. I apologize for the crudeness of my questions, I lack the words to describe my issues. Please give me some information that would help me know more about them. Thanks

Your words describing your issues are just fine, it seems to me.  You should see a urologist at once.  If you can find a urologist with a special interest in sexual dysfunction, fine, but if not, see any urologist.  Bleeding from the penis is not something to be lived with.

It may be that your orgasmic problem was not psychological to begin with, but it certainly can become that too over time.  You can't let yourself be "embarrassed" about things like this.  I urge you in the strongest possible terms to get your problems looked into, particularly the first.

Best.
